OVERVIEW

A five channel programmable electronic fuse that can replace conventional fuses or other protection devices. Unlike a regular fuse, it offers complete and flexible management of the fault, without requiring replacement after actuation. It therefore helps improve up-time and availability and reduces maintenance costs.

It is able to detect and react to overcurrent and undercurrent conditions. When either condition is satisfied, the load is disconnected via external relays, a record of the event is stored on the microcontroller, and the device enters an auto-retry protection mode, if set by the user. If the anomalous overload condition persists, the device goes into an open state, disconnecting the load from the power supply.

The device is fully programmable. Overcurrent, undercurrent and startup time can be set via USB. The adjustable turn-on time is useful to keep the in-rush current under control during startup and hot-swap operations.
